Privacy Policy
Last updated 7 November 2026. This policy covers the website usa.beincareer.com only.
1. Who we are
BeInCareer USA publishes guides on US visas, work authorization, careers and pay, written for Indian students and professionals. You can reach us at info@beincareer.com.
We are the controller of the personal data described below, except where we say that a third party acts independently.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
We do not run user accounts and we do not ask you to register. You only give us personal data if you choose to:
- submit the content removal form — your name, email address, any organisation you name, the URLs you identify, your description of the issue, your typed signature and your IP address at the time of submission; or
- email us directly, in which case we hold whatever your message contains.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records requests to the site, including IP address, date and time, the page requested, referring page and browser user-agent. These are standard web-server logs.
- Advertising and measurement data collected by Google — see the next section.
We do not set our own tracking cookies, we do not operate a newsletter, and we do not build profiles of visitors ourselves.
3. Cookies and advertising
This site shows advertising through Google AdSense. Advertising is how the site is funded.
- Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices or optout.networkadvertising.org.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website.
For how Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps, see Google's policy and the Google Privacy Policy. Google acts as an independent controller for this processing; we do not receive your advertising identifiers and we cannot delete Google's records on your behalf.
Your browser lets you block or delete cookies. Blocking them will not stop you reading anything on this site.
4. Why we process it
| Purpose | Data | Basis (where the GDPR applies) |
|---|---|---|
| Serving the website and keeping it secure | Server logs | Legitimate interests |
| Handling a removal or correction request | Form submission | Legal obligation, and legitimate interests in responding |
| Funding the site through advertising | Advertising cookies and identifiers | Consent where required; otherwise legitimate interests |
| Answering an email you send us | Your message | Legitimate interests |
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We do not trade or rent it. The parties who may process data connected with this site are:
- Our hosting provider, which operates the servers and holds the logs.
- Google, for advertising, as described above.
- A regulator, court or law enforcement body, where we are legally required to disclose something.
Note that under some US state laws the term "sale" or "sharing" is defined broadly enough to include the disclosure of identifiers to advertising partners for cross-context behavioural advertising. Where that applies to you, see section 8.
6. How long we keep it
- Removal requests: kept while we handle the request and afterwards as a record of what was asked and what we did, because that record may itself be legally relevant. We delete them when there is no longer a reason to hold them.
- Server logs: retained by our hosting provider on its own schedule.
- Emails: kept while the correspondence is live.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us to:
- confirm what personal data we hold about you, and give you a copy;
- correct it if it is wrong;
- delete it;
- restrict or object to how we use it; or
- withdraw consent, where we relied on consent.
Use the content removal form or email info@beincareer.com. We will not charge you and we will not treat you differently for asking.
We may need to confirm who you are before acting, so that we do not disclose or delete someone else's data on a stranger's say-so.
8. US state privacy rights
Several US states — including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah and Texas — give residents rights over their personal information, typically to know, to delete, to correct, and to opt out of targeted advertising or the sale or sharing of personal data.
If you are a resident of such a state, you may exercise those rights through the content removal form or by email, and you may use an authorised agent.
To opt out of personalised advertising on this site, use Google Ads Settings and the industry opt-out tools listed in section 3. Those controls act directly on the advertising systems involved, which is where the data actually sits.
We do not knowingly process sensitive personal information, and we do not use personal information for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
9. Children
This site is written for adults making decisions about study and work in the United States. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. The application code and configuration sit outside the public web root, and form submissions are validated and rate-limited. No website can promise perfect security, and we do not.
11. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be described on this page rather than made quietly.
12. Contact
Email info@beincareer.com, or use the content removal and privacy request form.
If you are in the EU or UK and believe we have handled your data badly, you may complain to your national data protection authority.
